Home Leasing, with partner Dauphin County Redevelopment Authority, announces the completion of a $11.1 million housing development in the Borough of Lykens, Dauphin County. The project transformed the former Lykens Hotel and Israel Building, two historic landmarks, into Union House Apartments, an adaptive reuse creating 28 affordable, energy-efficient apartments. Four units are for persons who have physical disabilities or mobility impairment and two apartments are adapted for individuals with hearing and visual impairments.

Owego Gardens will be a new construction of 62 units for seniors 55 and older and individuals with physical disabilities.  There was a ground breaking event on December 10, 2015 at the project site to celebrate the beginning of the building phase.  Edgemere Development joined Home Leasing and NYS Homes and Community Renewal and others to help start the construction! On September 11, 2015 Edgemere Development, the development team and several government officials celebrated the groundbreaking of the Eastman Dental Dispensary in Rochester, New York.  The building has been vacant for decades and is being constructed into 52 mixed-income apartment units. The project is part of The Landmark Society's Five to Revive properties. Click here to read more about the development in The Landmark Society of Western New York's June issue.  Senator Joseph Robach, Councilwomen Loretta Scott and Elaine Spaull and Councilman Michael Patterson were there to celebrate the groundbreaking event.  Click here to see the group in action!

Edgemere Development is proud to announce the Seaway Lofts Project, the adaptive reuse of the former Brosemer Brewery located in Oswego, New York, received the Preservation League of Central New York Preservation Merit Award. The ceremony was held at the CNY Philanthropy Center in Syracuse, NY on May 21, 2015. The development team included Edgemere Development, as development consultant, the Bentham Foundation/Sutton Real Estate Company and Richard and Gardner Construction.
